The “Intercultural Creative Factory Solothurn” studio is an artistic domain and appeals to young artists, teachers, the jobless, foreigners, children etc. Its character is that of participation: things can only evolve from what the participants provide. The studio offers its users many ways of developing their creative potential and furthering it. People should be able to meet for non-profit and non-consumer activities and exchanges which are unconventional and which invoke meaningful uses of time.
The “Intercultural Creative Factory Solothurn’s” work is project-oriented and thereby definitively integrates the participants in planning and carrying out events and activities. Central themes are anti-racism and encounters. It is also part of other organisations’ events, e.g. the exhibition “Rencontre” of the FIMM Schweiz in 2005 (Forum zur Integration von Migrantinnen und Migranten – forum for the integration of immigrants).
The Creative Workshop was awarded the 2002 prize by the Regiobank Solothurn and the 2003 prize “conTAKT’03” given by Migros Cultural Percentage.
